Yesterday It Rained

Yesterday it rained
Today it is but sunshine
Look what you would have missed
If you had not borne the rain for sometime

The rainbow, the lining
The parting clouds, the golden rays
Look what you would have missed
If you had not borne the rain for sometime

The drops that fell
The wet ground
The saplings that sprung
The fruits they bore
Look what you would have missed
If it had not rained for sometime

The filled wells
The lush fields
The grinding of wheat
The bread sweet
Look what you would have missed
Had it not rained for sometime

The Little Balloon

Freed from its shackle
The Little Balloon Rose Up
Till the roof where it got stuck
A little bang here A little bang there
the little Balloon did try
To escape the roof it had struck
Little while later the roof did part………
Off rose the Balloon
High Up!
(How did the roof part?
A thought not thought)

With Pride it Flew
The merrier it grew
The higher it flew
The shackles, the roof
The weaker the memory of these that grew
The stronger the turmoil within it grew
The higher it flew
The bigger it grew
Stretched beyond itself
It prayed for respite
Not one in sight
It broke into pieces – a hundred at a glance

Some say it was the helium
Some say it was the life

The Kaleidoscope

Sometimes Life makes you happy
Sometimes it makes you sad
But that’s no reason to be bad
For Life has no favourite child

Sometimes it’s yours
Sometimes someone else’s turn
To be Life’s fall guy
For Life has no unsettled scores
Life has no favourite child

Some pluses and some minuses
That’s all Life ever promises
Some broken pieces
Some petals inside
And some mirrors to go by
That’s Life’s kaleidoscope for you my dear!

The Old Lion’s Roar

The Old lion’s Roar

Was it the same as the

Lion’s old Roar?

Nay, Not so

A roar?

A whimper may be

Crushed by the very life

It fought to live…..

A scary thought

The fate wrought

The Old lion’s roar

Was it the same as the

Lion’s old Roar?

Nay, Not so

A roar?

A thunder may be

Strengthened by the very life

Which tried to kill

A mighty thought

The dream sought

Why is it so?

I once grew a flower

A thing of beauty

Unparalleled pure

I put it on a window sill

And saw it wither

Maligned and withered

I hated it so

I let it die

In the cellar low

A thing of pride

brought so low

Many a flower since then

Have I grown

Not one shown

None brought so low!

Can anyone tell me,

Why is it so?

Advices, my Friend, are hated most by men

There was a boy
and My, what a boy was he!
Advices he gave away for free!
His friendships ended up in a mess
The reasons for which he could not guess

He knew not, I guess,
the saying old--
'Advices, my friend, are hated most by men!'

People of wisdom have have told thus time and again
Their effort , to me, seems to be in vain
For their advice we never did heed
(for reasons obvious indeed) ;)
Advices my friend are hated most by men!

Ways of Life

Ways of Life

Life’s ways

The Sceptre of fate

The way it sways……….

Keeps us dumbfounded,

Reveals not, where to, we are bounded

Ways of Life

Life’s ways

Tells us so much

Yet leaves so much unsaid

The Sceptre of fate

The way it sways

Makes us believe we know everything

And shows us we know nothing

Ways of Life

Life’s ways

The Sceptre of fate

The way it sways……….

Is it what makes me believe in You

Is it what makes me run to You

In fear, in awe

In helplessness, in tears

In joy and happiness I know You not

Is it what You are then

A creation of mind, a mind full of fearsAlign Center
